The birth of a child is very concrete. The birth of a child changes everything. Even if we have not had children, we have a sense of how the birth of a child changes the lives of the people connected to that child. The birth of Jesus was a concrete reality that pointed to a deep mystery, the mystery of the nature of God. Salvation and hope are two important topics for the season of Advent. Today we add the topic of mystery. How does mystery play into our faith journey?
