Like salvation, hope is another important topic of Advent. How would you say hope works in your life? In his letter to the church in Rome, Paul not only wrote the statement, "so that we might have hope", but also wrote, "so that you may abound in hope". This time around Christmas can be a difficult time for many of us. Difficult memories related to Advent and Christmas, not to mention the events going on in our world and our present lives can make hope elusive. How does God's gift of a Savior help us foster a sustaining, even abundant, hope?
