Advent begins! Advent is a time of waiting, which I think is highlighted in Paul's statement to the church in Rome: "Salvation is nearer". Paul does not say, "Salvation has arrived", but "Salvation is nearer". In other words, salvation is something we are waiting for, just as we wait for the coming of a child. Salvation is an important topic to consider, and I hope during this Advent each of us can take some time to consider the meaning of salvation and its impact on our lives.
