In this passage Paul continues to challenge the Galatians about their trust in self rather than trust in God's gift of grace. The Galatians were captivated by the idea that they could prove their worth to God, rather than being captivated by God's gift of grace. Why as humans do we often get caught up in the glory of our own accomplishments, which then hinders us from opening our hearts and minds to the gift of God's grace? Paul hopes that we will get to the place where we trust in God's grace, which is how Paul defined faith.
