Joel 3:9-21, Psalm 119:113-120
"God is a Safe Hiding Place"

The last part of Joel describes more of the great turn around, the restoration of the ways of God over the ways of the world. In that section we read the phrase: "God is a safe hiding place." That is the phrase that caught my attention. When it seems that the world is completely corrupt and life is filled with hostilities, do we understand that God is a safe hiding place? Do we experience God as a safe hiding place? Is God where you take refuge in the midst of all of life's challenges and fears and heartbreaks? How do we move to a posture where we can embrace God as our safe hiding place?
