God immediately responded to Habakkuk's lament. God's response no doubt shocks us, perhaps it even horrifies us. God responded by describing a force sent in that believed that their own strength was their god. As humans, don't we often respond to injustice or our personal struggles by believing our own strength will save us? Often our own strength is our god.
