How are you doing? Is your spirit holding up during these times we live in? How honest are you with God about the state of the world? An important genre of biblical writing is the lament, where the author boldly and honestly expressed her/his/their anger and frustration about the state of the world. The prophet Habakkuk was one such bold author. In the first four verses of his little book, he succinctly laid out his lament. Habakkuk's lament, it seems, speaks to our time just as profoundly as it did in his time. Have you thought of writing your own lament to God?
