First Presbyterian Church Proposed Building Project

For fifteen months the building committee has been evaluating current needs of and future dreams for our physical facility and our ministry here at FPC. They have interviewed members of the congregation, staff, other churches and architects and have developed a list of high, medium and low priority goals. The renderings, floor plans and site plan shown here represent the proposed project: new 250 seat sanctuary, new entrance and large foyer/narthex/fellowship area, new offices, bathrooms/showers, nursery, elevator/lift and storage areas. The remodel of current building includes: reconfiguration of sanctuary into multipurpose meeting space, reconfiguration of offices into youth areas, remodel kitchen more parking. The first floor plan (with the colors) represents the new building, the second plan shows the remodel of the current facility, the site plan shows the facilities orientation and parking.  The estimated cost of the project is $925,000.

The congregational vote will take place in mid to late January 2012. If the vote is affirmative, a capital fund drive will begin in the spring.

Please be sure to attend one of the many congregational meetings to hear about the project in detail. Dates will be publicized in Sunday bulletin and through mailings.
